Alison Kromer
I’m a community organizer, working to increase affordable housing, and to create a sustainable future for all. It’s a rewarding career, but I need a little room for creativity in my life.
The stress of the COVID pandemic forced me to reimagine how I use my time and I began making space to reconnect with the things that bring me joy - drawing flowers, painting watercolors, sewing and snapping photos. You never know what new project I may be working on at any given time! I often choose subject matter that stops me long enough to admire from our travels or right here at home in Cincinnati. I’ve always been a person that stops to smell the roses, to appreciate wildlife or to admire a beautiful landscape.
It brings me great joy to create and share my artwork with you. I hope it helps you remember that beauty surrounds us, even in the darkest of times, like it does for me to create it.
My husband, Chris Kromer, and I share studio 611B at the Pendleton Art Center. We are open every Final Friday to see and purchase our art in person.
